STUDY DAYS 2019
The Study Days “Youth, Culture and Institutions” (VI Edition) on the theme “Networked Institutions: Places of Communication and Mediatization of Languages” have been successfully concluded highlighting a further progress towards transversal research with the participation of historians, computer scientists, philosophers, journalists, scholars of society and marketing, cultural managers involved in the construction of cultural events and museums.
For the celebration of Leonardo da Vinci’s 500th anniversary, an original theatrical text by Matteo Taccola with a historical background was presented in which the artworks, in this specific case “The Last Supper”, reveals itself as the vehicle and medium par excellence of rethinkable messages over time. In addition, excerpts from “About Painting” by Leonardo himself were read.
The “Youth Culture and Institutions” Study Prize named after Francesco Pinna was also awarded. The memory of Francesco made by his parents, the speech of the director of the IUSLIT, hosting department, and of the Councilor of the Municipality of Trieste Serena Tonel, as well as the symbolic embrace of young people for the values lived and represented by Francis, was a moment of great emotion , adding humanity to the Award itself
